The Veterans' Association was formed in October 1944 to deal with problems affecting veterans attending University, and to provide on-campus veterans closer contact with the Department of Veterans' Affairs. Social functions consisted mainly of "smokers" preceded by discussions of veteran problems, and were held only once a month so as not to interfere with other student activities.
