Explanation of the rules governing Sadie Hawkins Week. First held in February 1940, Sadie Hawkins Week featured a dance to top off the week and women footing the bill all week long. By1966 Sadie Hawkins Week featured "Jeanboree," a women-only field trip, the Hootennany, the march on Marquis (where women would drop notes on the tables for men they were interested in), Whip n' Chill (dance), tobogganing, debate, pub night, and The Night They Invented Champagne.
