Born in Scotland in 1889, George W. Robertson settled near Mozart, SK in 1914 and became a director for the SGGA in 1918. He was elected to the Legislature as an Independent in 1921 but retired in 1924 to become Secretary of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, a position that he held for 34 years. During this time he was also active as a Regina public school trustee, a member of the University of Saskatchewan’s board of directors, chairman of the board of managers for First Presbyterian Church in Regina, chairman of the advisory board to a Catholic hospital, President of Regina Rotary, and national head of the Sons of Scotland. Mr. Robertson died in 1963.
