Collection Historical Note: This design for the
Legislative Building by Darling & Pearson features a large dome
with statuary, flanked by two smaller domed caps. Darling & Pearson,
a Toronto architectural firm, designed a number of buildings in Regina,
including the Land Titles Building (now the Saskatchewan Sports Hall
of Fame & Museum), the original Knox Metropolitan Church, the
Imperial Bank of Canada building, and the Barr residence/Haldane House
(the former home of the Shumiatcher law offices). |
