RPL Photograph Collection Historical Note: The
firm of Peter Lyall and Sons received the contract to work on the
Legislative Assembly in 1908. Construction of the building took years
– the building was not completed until 1912 – but by 1911
enough of the structure was built that the legislative session for
that year took place in the Legislative Library.
