Historical Note: Streetcar service made it possible for the city of Regina to expand beyond its existing borders. The Legislative Buildings and Wascana Park were, at one time, on the southern outskirts of the city limits. When street railway tracks were built, however, the area became accessible to all Regina 's residents and began to attract more visitors.
