Historical Note: The Cenotaph in Victoria Park was unveiled on Armistice Day 1926 (November 11). It replaced the Davin Fountain at the centre of Victoria Park's spokelike web of paths. Davin Fountain was moved to Rotary Park , where it stands today. Every year, wreaths are placed on the Cenotaph on November 11 to honour the memory of Regina citizens who gave their lives during the war. Major renovations to Victoria Park in 1995 enhanced the beauty of the landscaping around the Cenotaph.
