Historical Note: The old Post Office was remodelled and put into service as Regina City Hall in 1962. (The gingerbread city hall was torn down to make way for a shopping centre in 1964) It served as City Hall until the new, current, City Hall was opened in 1975. The building, which now houses the Globe Theatre among other businesses, was declared a municipal heritage property in 1982 – one of the first two buildings to receive that designation.
