Estevan / Bienfait / Roche Percee

Estevan / Bienfait / Roche Percee - part of the coalfields of south-east Saskatchewan. Estevan derives from a combination of the names George Stephens, a former president of the Bank of Montreal, and Cornelius Van Horne, a general manager of the Canadian Pacific Railway. Bienfait, "well done" in French, was named for Antoine-Charles Bienfait, an Amsterdam banker involving with CPR share sales in Europe. Roche Percee was named for a nearby landmark, "pierced rock".
