Fukui Prefect3 - The
"Married Rocks" are located opposite Futami Beach at
Ise Bay in Mie Prefecture and are thought to represent the legendary
deities Izanagi and Izanami, creators of Japan. On the larger
rock is a small torii, a heavy straw rope, a Shinto symbol, links
the two rocks. |
