The Men's Lit Chorus 1930.
University of Saskatchewan Archives — The Greystone 1930
The U of S Literary Directorate had a two-fold purpose according to this photo's
label. First to reflect campus life and provide real entertainment for those
students who are so charitable to attend. Second to try to make the Convocation
Hall footlights a training ground for students who are stage-shy. Cross-dressed
choruses and kick lines were a traditional feature at U of S shows, including
the still surviving revue Legal Follies.
