Yokohama1 - The vessel is the first Canadian Pacific Line "Empress of Japan", a twin-screw 600 ton steamer built by the Naval Construction and Armaments Co. of Barrow (later known as Vickers). She made her first run from Yokohama to Vancouver in 9 days 19 hours and 39 minutes, breaking all previous records. The figurehead is preserved in Stanley Park, Vancouver.
